The course seeks to facilitate students鈥 professional development and meet 成人快手 global competencies as they progress from Phase 2 to Phase 3. The course includes four 2-week long experiences and includes a mix of virtual/in-person sessions. The course will include a combination of content to prepare students for transitions and advancement, doctoring thread content, personal one-on-one academic advising, and evaluation of clinical and communication skills.

Central Wisconsin 鈥 Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (CW-LIC)

The Central Wisconsin 鈥 Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (CW-LIC) allows students on the CW campus to complete the core 成人快手 Clerkship requirements at CW regional sites. CW-LIC students experience the core clinical clerkship experiences in Surgery, Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Family Medicine, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine and Anesthesiology in a longitudinally integrated fashion. The CW-LIC course during Phase 2 is divided into two sections. CW-LIC 1 occurs in the Fall semester of the clerkship year, and CW-LIC 2 occurs the following Spring semester. In total students will gain 32 weeks of dedicated clinical experience along with 7 weeks of didactic education during spiral weeks.

The particular composition of each students鈥 learning experiences will vary based on local resources and student needs. However, all students are monitored to ensure completion of course and institutional requirements. The specific format of the longitudinally integrated clerkship varies by system, site, and preceptors. As practices vary across the sites, students, together with their preceptors, decide whether weekend rounding and weeknight call offer valuable student learning experiences and plan accordingly.

Students will return to campus for didactics (Spiral Weeks), evaluations, and assessments for a total of 7 weeks spread across CW-LIC.
