成人快手 Certification Program: Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI)

All individuals involved in the design, conduct or review of human subjects research are required to have current CITI training.

成人快手 Human Subject Research Training Protection (HSRP) Requirements

成人快手 requires individuals involved in the design, conduct or review of human subject research to have current Human Subject Research Protections training. 成人快手 utilizes the CITI Program to provide Human Subject Research Protections training for biomedical researchers, social/behavioral researchers and research reviewers.

Please note 成人快手 offers a variety of CITI courses to support research teams, IRB Committee members and Investigators in the conduct of research.聽 The CITI courses listed below satisfy 成人快手 Human Subject Research Training Protection Requirements SOP.聽

Everyone involved in the design, conduct, or review of human research carried out by 成人快手 faculty investigators at any location or reviewed by 成人快手 IRBs or another authorized IRB must have current HSRP Training (CITI certification).
Additional HSR training may be required for certain projects (Banks, DoD funded or supported projects)
New project team members must complete the required HSRP training (CITI certification) prior to starting any human subject research work.
Members of the human subject research team, including the Principal Investigator (PI), must have current HSRP Training.
成人快手 HRPP Office requires ALL participants to complete a basic or initial CITI course prior to beginning the refresher CITI course.

CITI Basic Course:

All new staff, faculty or individuals new to human subject research must complete an initial or basic course. Certification is obtained by completing the required CITI course modules which may include elective and supplemental modules with an overall score of 80%. The initial CITI course can be completed in four to six hours.

Six CE credits are available from CITI for purchasing by the individual.

CITI Program transmits updated CITI Training nightly to eBridge. Users must have an active eBridge account established to ensure CITI training information can be linked and updated in the eBridge system.

CITI Refresher Course:

Users will receive email reminders from both CITI program and 成人快手 eBridge starting 30 days prior to the expiration date of CITI training.
Refresher courses will be available in CITI under 成人快手 courses
Users may complete up to 3 refresher courses if available before having to retake the initial course
Individuals may need to complete other 成人快手 specific HSRP training courses

In order to maintain CITI certification, individuals are required to complete the CITI Refresher course modules every three (3) years after completing the initial CITI course. Certification is obtained by completing the required CITI course modules which may include elective and supplemental modules with an overall score of 80%.Completion of the refresher modules can usually be completed in less than two hours.

Step 1: Create or Affiliate Your CITI Account with 成人快手

Register or log in
If registering for the first time: select 成人快手 and complete any additional information to complete account set up
Important: Use the same first name, last name, and email address in CITI that appear in your eBridge account.

Transferring Training from a Previous Institution

Go to www.citiprogram.org
Log in using your existing username and password
Click 鈥淎ffiliate with Another Institution鈥�
Enter 成人快手
Complete the required registration questions
Enroll in the appropriate Course. Do not select 鈥淚 have taken the CITI Basic Course and would like to take the CITI Refresher鈥�
Click 鈥淪tart Now鈥� to verify transferred modules

Step 2: Enroll in the Correct Course

Select the group that best matches your research focus:

Biomedical Research
Biomedical Research & Good Clinical Practice
Social/Behavioral Research
Group 6: Healthier Wisconsin Partnerships Community Members

If unsure which course to select, consult your research manager or department administrator before enrolling

Step 3: Complete the Course Material

Initial course: 4鈥�6 hours total
Refresher course: Less than 2 hours
May be completed in multiple sittings
Must achieve a passing score of 80%

Step 4: Wait for Upload to eBridge

CITI training data uploads to an existing eBridge account each night after 6pm.

If your training has not appeared after the most recent upload day, please see the "Troubleshooting" section. Your training must appear in eBridge before IRB approval can be finalized.

CITI Courses and Types of Research

成人快手 offers Human Subject Research Protections (HSRP) training to encompass the variety of research conducted at 成人快手. A brief description of the CITI courses that meet 成人快手's HSRP training requirements are provided to assist in the selection of the applicable course.

成人快手 also offers Good Clinical Practices (US FDA Focus and Social Behavioral best practices), however these course completed alone do not meet the requirements outlined in 成人快手 Human Subject Research Training Protection Requirements SOP

Biomedical Research

Biomedical involves all types of clinical research studies, including FDA-regulated research and those that involve investigational drugs, biologics, and devices.

Biomedical Research and Good Clinical Practices

This course combines the Biomedical Research course along with the Good Clinical Practices (US FDA focus) course.

Completion of this course allows Investigators to seamlessly complete both courses and will ensure that these trainings and certifications are renewed every 3 years.

Social Behavioral Research

Social/Behavioral Research (SBR) encompasses a wide variety of research including but not limited to:

Observational,
Survey research,
Epidemiological studies

This research does not involve any drugs or devices (investigational or market-approved).

Group 6 - Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Community Members

The course is designed to focus on the unique aspects to consider and be aware of in the conduct of human subject research based in the community. This course is 成人快手's鈥疕SRP training for community partners participating in the conduct of human subject research.

Note: Completion of this course will not fulfill the HSRP training requirements for Researchers, research staff or students engaged in the conduct of human subjects research. This course is created only for community members who may be engaged in research.

Is HSR training acceptable?

HSR Training may be accepted if the site is AAHRPP accredited or part of a CTSA consortium. Details will be included in the email summary provided by the 成人快手 IRB Reliance team when the reliance agreement is finalized.

For external site relying on 成人快手, send training information (certificates, or institutional records) once the reliance agreement has been finalized. Include PRO # or Title, external site name and role when sending in the information to HSRPtraining@mcw.edu. Training information is updated within 24h of being received.
Only the external site PI and Primary contact need to be registered in eBridge for a specific project.
