Healing begins with being truly heard. I approach every patient not as a diagnosis to be managed, but as a whole person whose history, fears, and daily life shape their path toward a life worth living. It is important for patients to understand their strengths, social support, and their conditions so they feel empowered to make informed decisions about their care. My approach to psychotherapy is grounded in evidence-based practice and cultural humility. I consider how interventions that have been studied empirically can be integrated with the patient's diverse intersectional identities and life contexts. I value working on interdisciplinary teams and deeply believe that patients benefit from having a community of clinicians supporting their healing and movement toward recovery.

Biography
Dr. Ajeng Puspitasari is a board-certified clinical psychologist specializing in cognitive and behavioral therapy. She has received intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Behavioral Activation, and applies these evidence-based approaches to help patients build lives aligned with their values and strengths. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Puspitasari is deeply committed to expanding access to effective mental health care. She has provided intensive training and clinical supervision in DBT, ACT, and Behavioral Activation to community clinicians across the United States and Indonesia, helping bridge the gap between empirically supported treatments and real-world practice settings. Her research centers on dissemination and implementation science, examining how diverse evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions can be effectively adapted, delivered, and sustained across different populations and clinical settings. This work reflects her broader mission: ensuring that high-quality, culturally responsive mental health treatment reaches communities that need it most, regardless of geographic or resource barriers. Grounded in cultural humility and interdisciplinary collaboration, Dr. Puspitasari approaches both her clinical practice and her research with the belief that effective treatment must be accessible, adaptable, and responsive to the diverse contexts in which people live.
