Biography

Hi! My name is Alecia Rosales, and I am originally from Kenosha, Wisconsin. I graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2025 with Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry and Psychology. During my time at WLC, I was involved in the Leadership Training Program as well as the Psychology and Health Sciences Clubs. Through my coursework and involvement in these organizations, I discovered my passion for both the molecular and social sciences, which ultimately led me to pursue a career in genetic counseling. Outside of school, I worked as a behavioral technician at a clinic providing ABA and play-based therapy to children ages 2–6 with autism. This experience affirmed my passion for helping others and taught me that I find great fulfillment in serving individuals and families in the community, particularly those impacted by physical and intellectual disabilities. After graduation, I worked as a genetic counseling assistant at a clinic serving patients across neurology, ophthalmology, cardiology, and endocrinology. This experience provided me with invaluable insight into the field of genetic counseling and further strengthened my desire to contribute to this meaningful and rapidly evolving profession. When I’m not at school or work, you can usually find me curled up on the couch with a chai latte and either a good book or the latest reality TV episode. In my free time, I love listening to music, trying new foods, baking, and exploring farmers markets and local breweries with my husband. I also enjoy staying active, whether that means lifting weights at the gym, going on hikes, or training for my first half-marathon! I feel incredibly blessed to be a member of ³ΙΘΛΏμΚΦ’s sixth cohort of MSGC students and am excited for the knowledge, experiences, and relationships I will gain throughout the program. I look forward to growing as a genetic counselor and using what I learn to best serve my future patients and their families.
